Important Information:
Legal action will be taken if the relevant processes are not followed.
.As long as your residence permit is valid, you do not need a visa to enter Turkey. However, if there are less than six months left until your residence permit expires and you have to go abroad, please contact the Yozgat Provincial Immigration Administration.
.The Immigration Administration takes into account the online application date. Therefore, the online application must be made under all circumstances before the visa or residence permit expires.
.The address you provide when applying for a residence permit must be correct and complete.
.In cases such as name/surname change, passport change, marital status change, address change or department/program change, Yozgat Provincial Immigration Administration Directorate must be informed without delay.
.Your residence permit must not be erased or scratched. In the event of loss of the residence permit, the Yozgat Provincial Immigration Administration Directorate must be applied to immediately.
.Information on students who are registered or unregistered, who have taken a leave (suspended registration) and who have been suspended due to disciplinary offences is sent to the relevant institution within one week of their departure date for each term, and information on students who have been dismissed, voluntarily terminated and graduated is sent to the relevant institution within one week of their departure date. Therefore, in such cases, you should follow the process regarding your residence permit carefully.
.Please remember that your residence permit is only valid as long as you are an actively registered student, regardless of the validity date written on your student residence card. If you (i) have graduated from your program, (ii) have voluntarily cancelled your registration, (iii) have not registered for a term, (iv) have received a term permit, your residence permit will be cancelled by the Immigration Administration, even if the validity date stated on your card has not yet come.
.As stated above, the residence permits of students who are on leave (suspended registration) or who have not registered for term courses (except for students who are on leave due to exchange programs, international joint diploma programs and TÖMER courses) are cancelled by the Yozgat Immigration Administration. Please take this into consideration. In this case, students who will stay in Turkey for any reason must apply for a short-term residence permit. (Please apply for residence permit online immediately after submitting your permit request to your department, without waiting for your permit information to be processed into the system.)
.If you plan to stay in Turkey without being registered in any program (for reasons such as graduation ceremony, graduate application, etc.), you must apply for short-term residence before your residence ends.
.Graduating undergraduate students must leave the country within 10 days at the latest. This period is 2 months for students graduating from graduate programs. (For undergraduate students, the graduation date is the date the grades are announced. For graduate students, the graduation date is the date the printed thesis is submitted to the institute.) Students who plan to stay after this date for any reason must apply for short-term residence as stated above.
.The residence permit does not provide any right to obtain a residence permit for the student's parents and other relatives.
.Students who wish to work can work provided that they obtain a work permit. However, the right to work for undergraduate students starts after the first year and cannot exceed twenty-four hours per week. Students who wish to obtain a work permit must apply to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
.If you wish to leave Turkey while your residence permit application is under evaluation by the Migration Authority, you may only do so for a maximum of 15 days and by obtaining an exit permit from the Migration Authority. If you leave the country without this document, your current residence permit application may be negatively affected and you may have to re-apply.
