YOZGAT BOZOK UNIVERSITY – FACULTIES

FACULTY OF DENTISTRY

Our faculty consists of 2 departments, Basic Sciences and Clinical Sciences, and 8 main branches of the Department of Clinical Sciences. The education program in our faculty includes theoretical courses in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades, laboratory practices where patients are simulated in preclinical and phantom laboratories in the fall semesters of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades, and theoretical courses in the 4th and 5th grades, as well as observation and one-on-one patient care in a hospital environment under the supervision of faculty members. There are over 150 students, 9 academic and 22 administrative staff in total in our faculty. Theoretical and practical training of students is carried out in the Faculty of Dentistry building. Our clinics are in the opening phase.

FACULTY OF EDUCATION

There are 5 departments, 8 of which have undergraduate programs, and 11 main branches within the Faculty of Education. Students are accepted to the undergraduate programs of Science Education, Primary Mathematics Education, English Language Education, Preschool Education, Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Classroom Education, Social Studies Education and Turkish Language Education. In addition, there is a double major program for the undergraduate programs of Social Studies Education and Classroom Education.

Our faculty employs a total of 53 academic staff, including 10 research assistants, 16 assistant professors, 19 associate professors and 8 professors. In addition, 5 administrative staff and 4 assistant staff work within our faculty.

FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND LETTERS

Our faculty, which provides formal 4-year undergraduate education, has 39 classrooms, 27 laboratories, 1 conference hall and 1 canteen.

Education, training and research activities in our faculty are provided by 26 professors, 15 associate professors, 37 assistant professors, 21 research assistants and 2 lecturers.

FACULTY OF LAW

There are 2 departments and 17 departments in total within our faculty. 10 departments were opened under the Department of Public Law; 7 departments were opened under the Department of Private Law. Our faculty, which provides 4-year undergraduate education formally, provides services in its own building. Education and research activities in our faculty are provided by 2 professors, 1 associate professor, 4 assistant professors, and 25 research assistants. Our faculty, which does not have any students yet, will accept students at the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year.

FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES

Our faculty's academic staff consists of 65 academic staff and 12 administrative staff. Since 2008, the Department of Economics has accepted students, since 2016, the Department of Finance, Health Management and Political Science and Public Administration, since 2018, the Department of International Relations has accepted students, and as of 2024, the Department of Finance and Banking will accept students for the first time.

FACULTY OF THEOLOGY

Our faculty has a closed area of ​​approximately 5150 m², and includes 12 classrooms, 2 large amphitheater, a conference hall and faculty members' offices. The additional building consists of 27 classrooms, 2 prayer rooms, 4 language laboratories, a canteen, a conference hall, a library and faculty members' offices. The library and classrooms in this building were also furnished by Bilal ŞAHİN. Between the two buildings, there is a "practice mosque" built by Bilal ŞAHİN.

The Faculty of Theology has been accepting students since 2012 and offers a four-year undergraduate education after a one-year compulsory preparatory education. There are three main departments in our faculty: Basic Islamic Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Sciences, Islamic History and Arts. Our graduates can work in the Presidency of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of National Education and various public institutions.

FACULTY OF COMMUNICATION

The faculty includes the departments of "Communication Sciences", "Radio, Television and Cinema", "Journalism" and "Public Relations and Advertising". The first student intake started in 2017, and over time, it expanded its academic staff and hosted various academic and research activities. In 2024, the name of the "Communication Sciences" department was updated to "New Media and Communication" and the faculty gained a structure suitable for modern communication technologies education with its developed technological infrastructure.

During this process, the faculty continued its important studies both academically and socially. The faculty's academic staff continues education-training with a team of 25 people and aims to provide quality and up-to-date education to its students.

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING-ARCHITECTURE

Our faculty was incorporated into Yozgat Bozok University in 2006 with the establishment of Yozgat Bozok University. It moved to its new building in 2016. It currently continues its education, training and academic studies with the Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning.

FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES

Our faculty has

courses are carried out theoretically and practically. The applications of the courses are carried out in Bozok University Health Application and Research Center, units affiliated to Yozgat Provincial Health Directorate, Private Rehabilitation Center, Nursing Homes, Social Services Children's Home and nurseries, kindergartens, primary schools and special education schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education.

Faculty of Health Sciences was established to provide qualified health services to the society and to raise leading individuals in the field of health. Our faculty aims to equip our students with the knowledge and skills appropriate to the needs of the age with quality education programs and the Nursing, Midwifery and Child Development departments within its structure.

FACULTY OF SPORTS SCIENCES

Our faculty started its education-training activities for the first time in the 2016-2017 academic year; 60 students to the Coach Education Department regular formal education program, 60 students to the Coach Education Department regular evening education program and 61 students to the Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department regular formal education program.

In the 2017-2018 Academic Year, the Department of Sports Management accepted 60 students to its regular formal and regular evening programs. In the 2019-2020 Academic Year, 40 students were accepted to the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching, 80 students to the regular and evening programs of the Department of Coach Education, 80 students to the regular and evening programs of Sports Management, and 80 students to the regular and evening programs of Sports Management, and it continues its education activities with a total of 1034 students.

Our Recreation Department has been established and will start accepting students soon.

The language of instruction in our Faculty of Sports Sciences is Turkish, the duration of education is 4 years (8 semesters). Those who complete the 4-year program are awarded a bachelor's degree.

FACULTY OF MEDICINE

In our faculty, 404 undergraduate students and 53 postgraduate students continue their education in three departments, namely Surgery, Internal Medicine and Basic Medical Sciences, and in 40 departments with 101 faculty members.

Our faculty implements an integrated education system, and education is provided in the form of course boards in the first three grades. Clinical internships are provided in the 4th and 5th grades, while internship education (applied medical education) is provided in the 6th grade. In the first 2 years of our education program, the normal structure and functioning of the human body are provided in an integrated manner, while in the 3rd year, disorders of these structures and functions are provided in an integrated manner. In the 4th and 5th grades, diseases, diagnosis and treatment methods are taught during the internship periods. The 6th grade is the Intern Doctor period, which aims to develop the practical applications of medicine. Our course programs are organized to cover the Core Education Program (CEP) created by the Turkish Medical Health Sciences Education Council; in addition, our course credits and grade passing scores are compatible with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

FACULTY OF TOURISM

Our establishment efforts continue to provide education in a holistic environment by combining the physical facilities, infrastructure and city opportunities of our faculty. In this context, in order to create the academic infrastructure, our faculty opened the departments of Tourism Management, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Tourism Guidance and Recreation Management.

In our faculty; There are 5 academic staff in total, including 1 professor (Dean (Uhde), 3 faculty members and 1 research assistant. The Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department is open in our faculty and students are not accepted to the department yet. However, after completing both its academic and administrative structuring in the coming years, our faculty will start its education and training activities and it is aimed that our students graduate with an education that will enable them to easily find a job in the tourism sector and official institutions with the training they receive.

FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE

There are 8 departments in our faculty, which is called the Faculty of Agriculture, and currently there are student admissions in our Horticulture, Plant Protection and Agricultural Economics programs. Our faculty has 47 academic staff including assignments, 10 administrative staff, 13 modern classrooms with a capacity of 638 students, 8 research and application laboratories, 1 computer laboratory, 2 archive rooms, 4 climate rooms, 2 conference halls, 2 meeting halls and a canteen, grafted vine sapling production unit, reading room, insect museum and offices, continues its education and training activities with up-to-date, renewable and feedback-followed course curricula in an indoor area of ​​approximately 10,000 m2.

In addition to these, we have 3 greenhouses with a total area of ​​480 m2 and a 50 m2 equipped mushroom production unit right next to our faculty building. Our research and application activities and educational activities organized within the scope of contribution to society are carried out on approximately 3500 acres of land in 4 different stations under the supervision of the Agricultural Application and Research Center Directorate. Our faculty is the flag bearer in the fields of access in education and access in space.
